Surrender is proud to present its latest collaboration and pop-up store event with Japanese label, FXXKING RABBITS (also known as #FR2). Titled “HEAVY SMOKER”, the exclusively designed for Surrender 12-piece capsule collection features t-shirts, hoodies and lifestyle products. “HEAVY SMOKER” will be available for sale at the FXXKING RABBITS FOR SURRENDER pop-up event, with guest appearance by Ryo Ishikawa, mastermind behind FXXKING RABBITS and VANQUISH.
A play on the brand’s synonymous “SMOKING KILLS” slogan, “HEAVY SMOKER” invokes a more emotionally-charged sentiment of going against the grain of rules and authority. In-line with the provocative and tongue-in-cheek attitude expected of FXXKING RABBITS, the collection features graphics and slogans that satirically pokes fun at the rigid laws and “fine culture” that Singapore is infamously known for, such as “No Smoking”, “No Littering” and “No Spitting”, to ludicrous ones like “No Picking of Flowers”.
For the Surrender-exclusive capsule collection, the iconic FXXKING RABBITS rabbit logo also takes on a new identity in the form of a half rabbit and half Merlion— Singapore’s national mascot of a mythical creature with a lion’s head and body of a fish. In cheeky fashion, prints are deliberately printed upside down and products are stamped with Surrender’s store address and +65 contact information.
The FXXKING RABBITS FOR SURRENDER pop-up event is open to public and will run from October 27th to 28th 2018 at Surrender. Special guest appearance by Ryo Ishikawa will be on October 27th, from 6PM to 8PM.
