[new in] readymade® – upcycling with a deeper symbolism

May 03, 2017

Surrender introduces Japanese label READYMADE as part of our curated selection. Designer Yuta Hosokawa launched the brand as an experimental project in 2013 with the goal to create something with more substance, amidst the myriad of products in the fast, fashion-oriented market.  Ever since, he has created unique, coveted pieces together with leading brands such as Off-White™ and Fear of God.

Vintage lovers will be thrilled to discover the READYMADE products meticulously handcrafted from carefully sourced U.S. surplus military gear to give it a modern touch. Though reworked, the identity of the brand holds true to its military inspiration even at first glance. According to Hosokawa, he views this entire process as a deeper symbolism of a signal to end all wars through the deconstructing of military wear during peacetime.

Explore the collection of READYMADE Cut Fishtail Parka, Monster Bag and more.  Available in limited quantities in-store now at Surrender.
